There are very few places that evoke such feelings as Inn the Park does. Quite literally, it is located at Al Khazzan Solar (now Cadillac) Park right opposite City Walk. I’m easily charmed by things that bridge the gaps between the indoors and outdoors, and luckily; Inn the Park does just that.
This new cafe is totally family friendly and breeds positive vibes. The food has a healthy selection and I’m pleased to see – an all day breakfast menu. The whole vibe with the stone walls and interesting mini-exhibitions and library immediately piques ones interest. This new outlet comes from the same guys at Bystro (which I have not been to yet), but a taste of some of their food told me one thing – it’s worth the hype.
To start off, I tried their ice tea, which was nice and fresh, whereas my friend P.V. delved into a cappuccino.
She’s a fan of sandwiches, so she ordered the pulled chicken sandwich (which I got to taste. It was simple and delicious. I on the other hand wanted something off the breakfast menu and tried Turkish eggs for the first time. Holy moly. They were scrumptious. Two medium poached eggs served with yoghurt and whipped aubergine is..genius!
My brother and his girlfriend later joined us (on their own account) and my brother also gave the Turkish eggs a try (much to my delight) whereas his girlfriend went for the unusual but very tasty shrimp and fried avocado taco.
To close off on our desserts we wanted to try their sticky toffee pudding (also known as my guilty pleasure) and a flourless chocolate cake. To be honest, the sticky toffee pudding was a bit too sweet for my liking and the flourless chocolate cake took place as the real winner.
Overall, we had a fantastic time! I must mention the staff and the manager are pretty great, conversational and chatty! Will be back!
LOCATION: Al Khazzan Solar Park, Opposite Citywalk, Dubai
DISCLOSURE: P.V. and I were offered a complimentary meal in exchange of this review. Opinions are my own. My brother and his girlfriend paid for their meals.
Update: As of May 2022, this establishment has been shut down.
Yummy looking food!
Thanks so much!
Waiting for you to take me there 😛
We’ll go 🙂
I do really want to taste those shrimp and avocado tacos! Oh my this cafe is impressive.
The tall tower made me curious if this park was in India somewhere but when I saw those tacos I KNEW you were in South Texas! Imagine my suprise to then read at the end that you are in Dubai! Wow! Next time I am there, I will for sure come out and try the tacos and feel right at home!
