I’m not really a coffee lover, but bring me specialty coffee, a nice place to read and a relatively quiet space and you just might have me hooked on to it. That’s what The Brass has. Beautiful, crisp interiors and a lovely rustic feel permeates throughout this coffee and community Dubai-based cafe.
As I had a tasting in like an hour, I couldn’t sit and pig out. I was between a meeting and a tasting and decided to try their chocolate hazelnut brioche and lavender latte. The brioche was just average, but they really got me with their lavender latte. I love everything lavender, so the fragrance just permeates throughout the coffee. Delicious, served with honey, it contained their signature brass blend; with very full bodied notes.
I love homegrown, Dubai-based restaurants and cafes as I can relate to them most closely. I always see Dubai as a bridge of the east meeting the west and The Brass is just the place that acts as a testament to that. The cafe carries roasts from Europe to Ethiopia.
Really looking forward to coming back to try some other blends when I visit Citywalk 2 again! I’m very excited now to check out the on-going coffee scene in Dubai! (Albeit, late!) So far, I enjoyed Tom&Serg, Cafe Rider and Friends Avenue! What else do you suggest I check out next?
