Brunching is something every Dubai resident loves to do on a weekend, which here falls on a Friday & Saturday. It almost always includes a copious amount of food and often unlimited alcohol. But with every restaurant having atleast one brunch, you can be pretty spoilt for choice. So how do you separate the best from the rest? Check out these 5 truly unique brunches in Dubai that you won’t get anywhere else and named like Friend’s episodes:

Most unique brunches in Dubai

1. Carnival by Tresind – The One with smoke & fire

Even though I haven’t personally checked out the brunch, one visit to Carnival by Tresind blew my mind. If you enjoy progressive Indian food with all of the drama smoke and fire, then you have to check out this unique brunch. The award-winning creations by chef Himanshu Saini and the quirkiness of the decor will leave you in awe. (Also, from what I hear they have a sangria tree at brunch!) How’s that for the most unique brunch in Dubai? The resident mixologist knows his pairings, so this promises to be a brunch to remember (or forget, depending on what you’re drinking that day!)

Timings: 12 – 3.30 pm on Fridays

Location: Podium level, Burj Daman, DIFC

Price: Starts at AED 190 (US$51)

2. Moombai & Co – The One with all the throwbacks

Moombai & Co is the only brunch on this list of unique brunches in Dubai which happens on a Saturday. Indulge in the classical decor of yesteryear, with food served to the table and a really delicious chai martini!

Timings: 1 to 4pm on Saturdays

Price: AED 245 for non alcoholic and AED 345 for alcoholic brunch

Location: The H Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road

3. 3in1 – The One with the picnic basket

Yep, you read that right. The Urban Picnic brunch is a fun, family-friendly brunch at 3 in 1 at Vida Downtown, Dubai. This brunch is quintessentially British, complete with scones and sandwiches. Grab your picnic baskets and load them up with coronation sandwiches, pies, fresh salads and more! The spread is exorbitant and you can have the main courses sent to your table. The main course includes a huge selection of food including Yorkshire puddings and melt in the mouth lamb chops. Besides this, the location in Downtown Dubai is quite unmatchable. You can take your picnic baskets over to a cabana with your Pimm’s and smoke some shisha in a classic Dubai twist. There’s a DJ playing and a pool you can use as well, which is why this is makes our list of most unique brunches in Dubai. Make sure you call ahead though, so you can get better seats!

Time: Fridays between 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Price: AED 345(US$93) for adults includes a selection of food and unlimited premium selected beverages and AED 295($80) for adults includes a selection of food and unlimited soft beverages. Children ages 6-11 are AED 148. Children 5 and below are complimentary.

Location: Vida Downtown, Downtown Dubai

4. Dusty’s – The One with Rachel’s going away party (just kidding, but this is airline related anyway!)

This cool airline themed brunch at Dusty’s is awesome, with the staff dressed as cabin crew. Located in the suave Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) area, it’s a whole lot of fun as there are plenty of games. The brunch is also valid on The Entertainer, which means if you buy one, you get one free! How’s that for value? The food is prepared as per your order, which means no wastage and the fact that your food will never be in our place standing for hours. The music is also pretty great.

Time:  Fridays between 1 – 4pm

Price: AED 499 (US$135) Prosecco First Class Package (unlimited food, house drinks, and bubbly)

AED 399 (US$108) Business Class Package (unlimited food and house drinks)

AED 299 (US$81) Economy Class Package (food only)

Location: Al Fattan Currency House, DIFC

5. Seasonal Tastes – The one where the chef is a DJ (but the food is still epic)

The City Brunch at the Westin was actually recommended to me by my blogger friend Haiya from Pass me the Dimsum. You can read her review here. Apparently their Singaporean laksa is to die for. I can’t wait to go visit this one myself, because I’ve heard great things about it from the Dubai food blogging community. There are plenty of cuisines represented, and even the chefs get on the turntables to mix up some music. Pro tip: Remember if you’re an SPG (Starwood Preferred Guest) member, you get a discount on dining. If you’re looking for an evening brunch on a weekday, consider the Sea-Me brunch instead in the nearby W.

Time:  Fridays between 1 – 4.30 pm

Price:

495 AED (US$122) with free flow of bubbly, select wines and beers
350 AED (US$95) with free flow of house beverages
249 AED (US$67) with soft drinks only

Location: Westin, Al Habtoor City

Welp, that’s all folks! Hope you enjoyed my little list. Have you been to any of these places? What sounds interesting to you?
